Burger of chickpeas and oatmeal

Puree the chickpeas and the mai?s in the blender. Do not crush it too finely. Mix in the barbecue sauce, the cayenne pepper and the curry powder. Bring to taste with pepper and salt, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix in 8 tablespoons of oatmeal. Add extra oatmeal if the mixture still feels too weak. Let rest for 10 minutes.


Make 8 burgers out of the mixture. Sprinkle the rest of the oatmeal on a plate and press the burgers on both sides. Let rest for about half an hour in the refrigerator.


Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and bake the citizens on both sides for 3 minutes.


Cut the pepper and tomato into slices. Highlight 4 citizens with salad, a few tomato slices and peppers. Put a second citizen on top of it. Serve with the rest of the salad. Very tasty with our Damhert Tagatesse tomato ketchup.


This is an ideal recipe for a tasty (vegetarian) barbecue. Complete with marinated vegetable spikes, puffed potatoes and a camembert dip (all on the grill). Enjoy an all-in vegetarian barbecue with family and friends.


  • 800 g damhert biofood chickpeas bio
  • 100 g salad
  • 120 g damhert biofood pop corn organic
  • 4 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 150 g damhert biofood oat meal bio
  • 2 kl curry powder
  • 1 tomato
  • 3 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 green pepper
  • 4 tablespoon biofood olive oil organic
  • 2 kl cayenne pepper
  • 1 salt & pepper
  • 1 damhert tagatesse tomato ketchup
