Burger with caramelized onion, lemon mayonnaise, mustard and cheddar

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Mix the mayonnaise with the lemon zest, mustard and chives.

Peel the onions and cut into rings. Fry for a few minutes in the pan with some olive oil.

Add the honey and herbs and stir well, letting the rings caramelize nicely over a medium heat. Remove from heat and put to one side.

Fry the burgers and season with salt and pepper.

In the meantime heat the buns for a few minutes in the oven.

Remove them, cut in half lengthways and spread with lemon mayonnaise. Place the burger on top with some caramelized onions, a slice of cheddar and some lettuce.

Serve, if you wish, with a salad.

  • 1 tablespoon damhert biofood olive oil
  • 3 sprigs of thyme
  • 4 tablespoon traditional honey acacia
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 tablespoon tablespoons damhert gluten-free mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon damhert gluten-free mustard
  • 1 zest of a lemon
  • 2 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
  • 4 damhert gluten-free brown rolls
  • 4 burgers
  • 4 slices of cheddar or lactose-free cheese
  • 4 lettuce leaves
